FRENCH FOR HOLIDAYS

Entering France from Belgium

All you need to get by with confidence.

My holiday French courses are all about making your next trip across the Channel comfortable, enjoyable and hassle-free - by giving you the phrases, vocabulary and techniques to master a variety of real-life situations.

As a result, the use of role-plays (where each member of the group plays someone different - a waiter in a café, the owner of a campsite, a visitor making enquiries in a tourist office etc) is key.

In terms of approach, there is less emphasis on the mechanisms and structure of the language than in my School French tutoring sessions. The focus here is on learning and practising the words and phrases you're most likely to need while away. And when I say "practising", I don't really mean reading and writing (although I will supply notes where appropriate). I mean speaking and listening, and lots of it.

As with all tutoring at Fantastique French Tuition, I will adapt lessons to your requirements. I can prepare tailored role-plays for whatever real-life scenarios you would like. My most common requests are for café and street dialogues, but we can also do role-plays in other, more specialised areas (such as a bike shop or a canoe hire outlet).
