Beginners Plus #3: avoir, être and aller (1 of 2)
The verbs to have, to be and to go are fundamental in any language, and French is no exception.
So in this lesson we'll build on from the previous lesson - when we started to say he is, she has etc, and look at the present tense of these 3 key verbs. In the process I'll explain the standard "6 person model" (singular or plural x 1st or 2nd or 3rd person) used to form all verbs, in any tense.
In the intermediate course, you'll start building more complex sentences of your own (without a role-play prompt to guide you), and you'll need to know, or at least know how to find out, how a range of different verbs are expressed - or conjugated - across a range of different tenses. This lesson and the next will give you the tools to do this.
